AQUA DIVERS NEWSLETTER
FEBRUARY 2012
We held the February dive club meeting on February 16 at Aqua Divers pool and amongst the members that attended we made up the following calendar. If you couldn’t attend and you have a date and or a special dive or event you want added to our current calendar please get in touch with us.
Please look at our website for this calendar and any updates that may come along. Remember we are going to start posting the newsletter only on the website and; therefore, you will not be receiving the e-mail newsletters. If there is something we want to alert you to I will send out an e-mail for that particular reason. We presented this change to everyone a few months ago. I will e-mail you the alert to let you know to look on the website when the newsletter is posted. Please go to our website to retrieve information of other current dates such as training and trips.
MARCH:
We did not conclude a date yet this month. Left open for scheduling.
MARCH 13:
Continued educational orientation evening which starts at 6:30. We will begin a Stress and Rescue course on this evening. If you are interested in starting this course please attend so we can decide the class dates, pool dates and open water dive skill date.
APRIL 15:
The annual underwater Easter egg hunt. It will be held at Aqua Divers pool and will begin at 2:00pm. The barbeque will be on for you to barbeque your meat and it will be a potluck meal. Watch for the March newsletter alert for more information.
APRIL 28 & 29:
Fort Bragg Abalone diving and scuba diving. We will be camping at Albion River Campground.
MAY: We did not conclude a date yet this month. Left open for scheduling.
MAY 19:
Aqua Divers annual Flea Market/In store sale. Starts at 9:30 and goes until 5:00pm
JUNE:
We did not conclude a date yet this month. Left open for scheduling.
JUNE 30:
Trip to Suisun for a trade dive show.
JULY 14 & 15:
Lake Tahoe Navigation Poker run at Sand Harbor.
AUGUST 11 & 12:
Little Grass Valley Reservoir
SEPTEMBER 8 & 9:
Donner Lake crawdad dive, Cajun dinner, and lake clean up dive
OCTOBER 12 -20:
Warm water trip to Bonaire
OCTOBER 28:
Underwater pumpkin carving at Aqua Divers pool
NOVEMBER 8,9,10:
Channel Islands Peace dive boat trip
DECEMBER 9:
Annual Christmas party and Divers Roast
NEXT DIVE CLUB MEETING:
We have gone back to the potluck dinner at the dive club meetings. We talked it over and as to why we dropped it was because we got tired of the same old cole slaw, cookies, chips and salsa menu. So, if everyone could be a little more creative we believe that we would all enjoy it a little more. Please bring whatever meat you want to barbeque.
