FIRST MEETING OF THE YEAR WITH OUR NEW ORGANIZATION:
We had an empty calendar and did quite well filling in the dates with those that attended the first meeting of the year. We socialized for a little while and then went right into making up the calendar. So, check your calendar if you weren’t able to attend and plan your dive year. There were a lot of suggestions put out on the table. And we will certainly add anything that someone comes up with and wants to do with the group. So, feel free to add something whether it is diving or not.
MARCH 12 & 13: We are diving in Monterey. You can stay the night the parking lot or reserve a motel room for the weekend.
APRIL 9 & 10: Diving in Fort Bragg, camping in Albion River campground and diving for Abalone as well as doing some scuba diving. Make your own reservations.
APRIL 17: Underwater Easter egg hunt in the swimming pool.
MAY 7 & 8: Diving in Fort Bragg, camping in Albion River campground and diving for Abalone as well as doing some scuba diving. Make your own reservations.
JUNE 12: Diving at Feather Falls in Oroville
JULY 23 & 24: Diving at Little Grass Valley Reservoir, camping at Red Feather campground, make your own reservations.
AUGUST 21: Do the Salmon dive at the fish ladder in Oroville.
SEPTEMBER 10 & 11: Diving in Donner Lake, camping at Good Meadows. This year it will be a modified Crawdad dive from years in the past.
OCTOBER 20 – 30: Indonesia
NOVEMBER 10,11,12: The Channel Island PEACE boat dive trip.
A couple of things that were brought up and they are being looked into as far as dates go is the walk around the Buttes and the bicycle around the Buttes. Also diving at Carnelian Bay in Tahoe, and diving off Catalina Island.
